SACSAA Committees
​MISSION AND HISTORY

FIRST. That the name of the corporation shall be "SAINT ALPHONSUS

            CATHOLIC SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC." (hereinafter called

            the "Association"

 

 

 

SECOND. That the purposes for which this Association is formed are:

 

     a. To ensure and make certain that the moral lessons and Christian teachings that the alumni learned from SAINT ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC SCHOOL shall, despite their departure from the school, forever live in their minds and memories, to guide them in their day to day activities in the pursuit of success in their individual field of endeavor.

 

     b. To develop, enhance and strengthen a mutually cordial and beneficial relationship between the Alumni and its alma mater.

 

     c. To promote and foster brotherhood, camaraderie, fellowship, sociability and coorporation among the members through social meetings and gatherings, lectures, seminars, excursions and entertainment.

 

     d. To promote and enhance the welfare of its members morally, educationally and fraternally in accordance with Christian virtues and the ideals and principles of the school.

 

     e. To foster social consciousness and awareness among members by engaging in worthwhile charitable, civic, educational and humanitarian activities and concerns. Specifically, the Association shall initiate and support social, medical and educational amelioration projects; and promote participatory community development programs in destitute and underdeveloped sectors of society.

 

 

AND IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE FOREGOING PRIMARY PURPOSES, the Association shall have the following powers, to wit:

 

     a) To receive, take title to and hold, by bequest, donation, device, gift, purchase or lease, either absolute or in trust, from local and foreign sources, for any of the purposes of the Association, any property, real, personal or mixed without limitation as to amount or value.

 

     b) To purchase, acquire, hold, sell, mortgage, lese, alienate, donate or encumber any property, real or personal, in so far as it may deem necessary or helpful in connection with the accmplishment of the purposes herein stated or in the public or community interest.

 

 

     c) Without in any way limiting the power of the Association, it is hereby expressly declared that the Association shall have the power to have one or more branch offices in and outside of the Philippines, and to conduct its business and exercise its power in any part of the Philippines and/or in any and all foreign countries, states and territories.

 

     d) To acquire or obtain from any government or authority, national or foreign, provincial, municipal or any body politic, or any corporation, company or partnership or person, such charters, contracts, franchises, privileges, exemptions, licenses, and concessions as may be conducive to any of the objects of the Association.

 

     e) To collect, invest and reinvest all money and income coming to it and hold the same for the benefit of the Association.

 

    f) To organize, conduct, and carry on any activity whatsoever which is necessary for, or incidental to, the purposes of the Association and generally to do all such things, perform all such activities and exercise such powers as may be directly or indirectly incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above-mentioned purpose.

 

 

THIRD. That the principal office of the Association shall be lovated or established in Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City, Province of Cebu, Philippines.

 

 

FOURTH. That the term for which the said Association is to exist is FIFTY (50) YEARS from and after the date of issuance of the certificate of incorporation.
